So reticent at first that I was ready to write it off as a tart-cherry bitter flop… but then it opened up to share red and black cherry velvet fruit, spices and soft tannins and low-med acids. 13% Alc. Delicious.
Tasted side-by-side with a 10’ Confuron Chambolle, which had more stuffing in the tannin and acid department, also very good.

Drank over two nights. Pretty red fruited nose with stem, spice and light iron notes. Medium bodied and totally smooth edges. Harmonious but the structure still makes itself known. Should hold and even improve over 5+ years. A pleasure to drink and speaks Chambolle.

Dried cherry, purple flowers, a bit of sweet spice, vanilla. Smooth palate with silky tannins and good acidity. Good fruit, stemmy spices. Drinking wonderfully. Has 5 years, but why wait?
