  • Reason to believe this is still in its dumb phase. A respected colleague drank several of these in their youth and said they were spectacular then. He has a few more bottles and plans to try his next one in two or more years from now. As Parker said in his original review, this is what tends to happen with the wine. I gambled now with my first of two bottles and was treated to a very good wine, but not great. My friend believes it will again be great in a few years. Suggestion is to hold your bottles a bit longer before enjoying their secondary phase of glory.

  • Brilliant dark gold color; marcona almond, peach and apricot pit, super oily, rich, rich and full bodied, seamless and long with no "alcoholic bitterness" I sometimes get. Mellow and soft, not super exciting, mre of a textural wine, but a joy to drink. opened up a bit after 20 minutes. In really good, shape, drink now or maybe within the next 3-5 years to be safe. White Rhone aperitif party

  • Yellow color and nose of honeysuckle. Rich complexity and great depth. Really an amazing experience. This seems in a good spot now but I really have no experience with this wine to predict its future.

  • No notes taken. This wine showed very complex and dense unlike another bottle back in 2019. Yet, it is no longer as glorious as it was in earlier years, where it showed even more complex, certainly more precise and especially it had the freshness and airiness to cope with all the richness. Maybe it’s just an awkward phase (no oxidative notes in this bottle) but who knows...
