Almost 10 years since we opened the last bottle. Intense aromas, black fruit - blackberry, black plum, licorice, and cedar. Rich flavors, well integrated and complex, blackberry, plum, leather, and licorice. Prominent tannins, but smooth, with a very long, rich finish. Mature wine, drinking well.

Slow oxed for one hour. The wine brings aromas of blackberry jam, plum grilled meats and graphite. The wine is fully mature, hedonistic, soft, open knit, a bit jammy, with fully resolved tannins. This lacked tension and balance and has not aged as well as some of the other Jonata bottling in my opinion.

Delicious.
There is still a a lot of deep dark sweet fruit here, think dark plum and blacks cherry. But there is so much more. Herbs, cinnamon, cassis, are all present and even a little pepper hit at the end. The tannins are lush and sweet. The finish is long.
