Lys gul, veldig frisk nese av sitrus, ananas, hint av smør og honning. Veldig fokusert og ganske stram, ung, god syre, god lengde. God mineralitet (mye for Puligny). En strålende 1.cru og en flott flaske.

As with my last bottle six months back, the 2007 Champs Gains has developed an attractive bouquet of honeyed florals, crushed stone, and spice, but the palate doesn't similarly impress, lacking density.

The nose took time to unwind from a stark citrus core, eventually revealing honey and stone notes. There's cutting acidity here, which I appreciate, but it isn't balanced by density on the palate. The 2007 Champs Gains finishes long with citrus and florals.

WCC Chassagne and Puligny Premier Crus Blind (Yono's Restaurant, Albany, NY): Light, crisp, lemony vanilla nose. Tart, rich, young. Needs time for the oak to integrate. 92-?? Tied for Group #1 WOTN.
