Had a taste by Coravin. Notes consistent with prior bottle - lovely complex notes with sweet fruit/floral notes. Fine grained tannins show the GC level of the wine but the greenish rustic flavors and spice detract for me although they show the vintage character and geographic origin of this wine clearly.
My second bottle after a not really great experience with their '07 Corton Clos de Roi. These have all seemed oddly dilute, and maybe with some heat damage. This bottle also seemed, upon opening, to have some residual sugar, as if they chaptalized and fermentation didn't finish-is that possible? Cherry top note and some soil. Not bad but definitely not up to the other reviews or Grand Cru depth or weight. I realize it wasn't a great vintage, but still...
