One of their last vintages that use the plastic cap. Those bottles age so much better than cork. So sad that Whitehall had to stop using those caps. Anyhow, the 2006 is amazingly good. Can stand up against $200 / $300 bottles from other brands. Smooth, distinctive. Good color, aroma and wonderful finish. Really spectacular at its price point

We opened the last bottle, decanted for about an hour and enjoyed this wine with Chinese food. What a wonderfully balanced wine. The tannins have softened and integrated well with the tasteful notes of black cherries, toast, ripe figs and cinnamon.

Popped and poured this bottle. Time has improved this wine to a very enjoyable experience. Soft and balanced tannins with a robust amount of complexity.

We decanted this wine for about an hour before pouring. Deep red in color. Not a big nose but layers of cherries, mint, licorice and loam. Nice mix of acidity and tannins ripe fruit. Very enjoyable wine.
