This is the antithesis of over-oaked California chardonnay. Bright straw color. Brisk, citric notes of lemons, green apples, pineapple, graham crackers, melon, and flinty minerals on the finish. Feels tactile with sneaky complexity and juicy acidity. Buttery vanilla, however, finally makes its presence known after the wine warms in the glass. Very good.

I was excited to taste this wine, after loving the Wild Boy Chardonnay from Au Bon Climat. But this was not what I expected. Lots of acidity and minerality, with just a hint of buttery oak. Poor balance and not as rich and full as I would have liked. Still very drinkable though.

Takes a while to open up, but when it does it is quite nice.
Butter, minerals, flowers, great viscous mouthfeel, bracing citrus. There is a decent amount of depth on the finish. Lingers on the palate.
Very tasty.

A lot of creaminess, flowers, white fruit, pretty round and fresh, medium finish, nice.

Sonoma Wine Tasting & San Francisco - March 2012; 3/22/2012-3/27/2012: Golden colored. Aromas of buttery oak and yellow apple. The palate is plump and very rich with bruised apple and oak. There's enough acid to keep it interesting.
