  Opened and poured - heady, dark purple to black braised char elements, ripe strawberries, blackberries, etc. Potent juice. Still fairly lively and ripe.

  Winefool Going Away Party and Cellar Depletion (Jack's Bistro - Chicago IL): Tasted 2 days ago, note from memory. I liked this wine in its youth, and am surprised to see how well it has held up. Bright enough to allow the fleshy cherry fruit to remain fresh and vibrant enough.

  We drank the 2006 last night, and I gave it a 94. This vintage is better, fuller, rounder.
