Subsequent notes on this wine from 7 years ago. Dark garnet in color with slight clearing at the edges. Nose was initially a bit funky, but it blew off with airing & developed into a full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of floral notes of lavender & earthy notes, dried herbs, spices, pepper, minerals & a bit of garrigue. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with herbs, black pepper, spices, minerals & a slight hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting and airing, but at 17 years of age it close to or at its peak of development. Although it should hold her for a few more years, I doubt any further development will occur form additional aging. Fill was well above the shoulder & in the lower neck portion; cork was clean & intact. A wonderful wine.

Swe: Sluten doft men stor smak med påtagliga tanniner som gör sig bäst med en gräddig sås. Klassiska björnbär/rödabär smaker. Blir nog inte så mycket bättre nu…

A very quaffable CNdP, nothing overdone, nicely balanced. Enough structure to go a few more years, though not much past 2025. Looking at the price I paid, perhaps not the best QPR
