(Chat LaTour Carnet) #4; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-classic Haut Medoc (yard clippings & wood bark through wood chipper); load of cherries; Oak & Maple wood; refreshing White pepper; little hints of clove; TASTE-Oak Monster is here; slightly overoaked; cherry; heavy loads of Vanilla creme; loaded w/ strawberries; classic red wine, but a little California-like (per the very hot 2003); too New World-ified for me; an awkward aftertaste; too fruity AND not delicious; RP-90; GV-86

Needs at least an hour of decanting. Dark fruits emerged on the nose underpinned by a moderate acidity. Tannins have receded but a decent finish. Definately near the end but still satisfying.

Excellent terroir driven classified Medoc especially given the hot vintage. Sweet savory cabernet fruit with great balance with a persistent mouthcoating finish-not at all hot.
today showed why La Tour Carnet is a 4th growth.

Nach Lafontaine Rochet 2000 fiel dieser natürlich kellerkalt geöffnet ab.
Trotzdem sehr solide. Intensive Süße (nicht klebrig), Reife (Brom-)Beeren, wenig Säure, wenig Holz. Durchaus kräftig. Dunkelrot
