Like it a lot. Different stylistically than what I normally drink. More balanced, and acidic. Did well with sushi. Wasn't floored however. Lot of hype. Will be intrigued to see how this ages. Subtle fruit.
Took to a restaurant and popped and poured. Good cork. Modest nose. No Brett in this bottle. Wanted to try this early because of all the posted notes of Brett issues. Soft, elegant, with raspberry and some black raspberry flavors. Hint of vanilla added, light on the acid. In balance.
Delicious. About 4 hours in the decanter helped it open up. Nose is restrained with cherries and damp earth. A little bretty but not a problem on this bottle. The palate is elegant and complex with layers of dark cherries. Great concentration and structure. Excellent finish. Long life ahead.
