Interesting, especially in comparison to my note from January. This bottle was good but not great. Also decanted for about 90 minutes. Heavy bricking. The flavor profile is dominated by iodine with a little bit of spiciness and some stony minerality, but it was pretty simple really. The finish does linger. This bottle was better with food.
Darkish color with some bricking. Nice aroma of berries. Flavors include a hint of chocolate along with several dark fruits. Medium body. Very elegant actually. i don't think the wine (this was from a 375ml) will get much better, it'll probably remain on this enjoyable drinking plateau for at least a few years

(Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Crau) Bricking dark red violet color; chocolate, baked berry, ripe plum nose; tasty, ripe black fruit, berry, blackberry, mineral palate; medium-plus finish 91+ pts.
(Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf du Pape) Lots of lovely, very primary, fruit on the nose, which has a rich cherry confit character. This carries through onto the palate, which is full and creamy, with a lovely depth of fruit. Behind it all lies a wall of tannin, although there does seem to be a wealth of fruit to match this. Unremarkable acidity, nevertheless this will also improve in bottle, and has very good potential.
