My last comment was that it a little too bland for my taste. I say this as a red wine drinker, but we had it last night with halibut and it was an excellent combination. The peach with butterscotch taste came through nicely and it had a good balance.

I bought this bottle at their huge vineyard in Eugene, OR after the Tennessee/Oregon football game on Saturday, September 14, 2013. Since it was close to harvest season, I distinctly remember cannons going off to scare away the birds away from vines. Had a great dinner there with spectacular views of the surrounding hillsides at sunset and watching far distance cars passing on the road below. Their charcuterie is produced on the premises and was the highlight of dinner menu. I would highly recommend a visit. A lovely nose with a light, clean and balanced Pinot Gris. Notes of straw with a clean finish. Slightly tart. 13.8% alcohol.

Color is almost clear with the lightest hint of straw. A very floral aroma is quite evident in the moderately aromatic nose present shortly after opening the wine. The wine has a very clean green fruit taste (pears) with maybe a hint of minerality and a short finish and light body. The wine is very balanced in acidity, alcohol, and tannins; none shine too brightly. A very well done Pinot Gris! Would not hesitate to buy again.

Pleasant, but too bland for my desires.
