Deep red with light brick color at the edges. Earthy & dark fruit aromas. Starting to mellow but still plenty of fruit and tannins, rich and a little syrupy. Still going strong after 2 hours. Very nice bottle, delicious with Fred's marinated tri-tip. Probably at its peak of development, but should be good for at least 5 more years. Cheers to the Duncan family & Dan Baron for a fabulous Merlot!
Delicious. Fruit to earth then back to fruit and still more earth. A lot left here. Sadly, Twomey has gotten away from this style of production, but anything before 2006 is still worth the price of admission.
Great, bright, red color in the glass, no sign of bricking, Nose of dark cherry fruit, cassis, Smith brothers cough drops, with a hint of dust, more of the same on the palate, medium body, mouth coating, tasty, medium body and medium/long finish. Bought at auction for $31.
