Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 91.5 points

  • Good nose, floral and intense. Best nose of today's 3 Rousseau wines. Better than expected on the palate, fully resolved tannins, round and multi-layered. Pretty good for so-called lesser vintage and 1er Cru. Punched above its weight for sure, delicious but no hurry to consume. Rousseau really shines in lean years such as '91. 92-93 pts.

  • popped and poured, drank over the following 5 hours. Dark ruby. Cool, medicinal nose, framed by sour cherry. In the mouth, a touch on the lean side but really quite good. Sour cherry again on the palate, with some definite sauvage caharacter as well. Long finish.
