  • Definitely cellared this too long. Still good, but it has lost much of its depth and richness. Just hints of this remain.

  • I've likely consumed a case of this over the years - was my go-to house wine until i couldn't get any more. Always a fantastic treat - Dave Phinney winemaker during 2003 vintage. Opens with Bordeaux funkiness and evolves into a delectable treat of big rich dark fruit (cherry and boysenberry), BBQ elements and nice chalky/loamy 40+ second finish (2 hour decant). As usual, absolutely outstanding house "feasting/table wine" for evening enjoyment drinking. Good balance and excellent tannin structure. I've consumed every vintage of this wine ever made and continue to believe 2003 is the best given big drying tannin structure, balance and size of fruit/palate weight. could hold this wine another few years easily but drinking great now.

  • Brick colored with an astringent chemical nose , no fruit but has silky tannins soft and past its prime. I would suggest gifting to someone you will never see.

  • Wine has become very conentrated, and the zinfandel component is less showy. Nose: Ripe Cherry and Black Berry, slight vanilla, heat showing on nose. Palate: Full and sweet on the palate, almost artificially so ... Dense Black Cherry, Raspberry and other dark fruits, some bell pepper notes below the fruit. Finish: Medium Length. Good fruit.
