  • The wine's appearance is a clean, pale lemon with a pronounced nose. This might benefit by waiting until summer to open, since the fruits are underripe. Nutmeg, asparagus, and oak also come through in the nose. I'm a bit surprised by the low acidity on the palate. I also taste lots of pineapple with cedar and vanilla. This has a full body and a medium finish. This is a good chardonnay for ~$13.

  • color: light gold; nose: butter, vanilla & a little grass; taste: smooth medium-density mouth feel, yummy buttery taste, short-lasting finish; overall: modest but jolly drink with some personality and grace, reasonable QPR at $13 -- worth buying more of at that price, and would be a grab at $11
