This wine did not make a notable first impression. The flavors seemed muted and there was a slight effervescent buzz that I don't like in a still wine. However, I warmed up to this wine very quickly. The flavors deepen as your mouth becomes accustomed to them. I normally drink heavy reds and the crisp citrus flavors of lemon and grapefruit were a treat. It paired well with the roast chicken we served.

At first I was not sure about this wine, it tasted very light, and almost not there. As it slides down the palate, things liven up for a somewhat light bodied surprise. Golden color. Minimal nose of lemon. grapefruit and a small amount of grass. When it hits the palate you almost want to say "where's the flavor" and it kind of sneaks up on you. The flavors remind me of Albarino more than Sauvignon Blanc. Have to admit, this is very smooth and soft, probably by design. It grows on you as you taste down the glass. Gets the 87 for being so well balanced, clean and well made. The finish is pure and smooth with earthy citrus.

Very light, smooth feel. Paired very well with grilled yellowfin.

typical SB with good QPR at $11... citris/good nose, muted taste, OK/slightly watery finish... not bad at all, but nothing special either
