  • Opened at refrigerator temp, drank over about 90min. Wine was better once it warmed up to cellar temp or above. Heavy strawberry some cherry with a bit of complexity and a decent medium finish for a Rosé. Balanced well with hamburgers, watermelon and corn on the cobb on a warm evening.

  • This wine hits the glass with a darker maraschino cherry red; one of the darkest rosés we’ve encountered this season. Delicate peach and cassis flavors with a smidge of strawberry mixed in - suggesting Grenache in its rightful place - fill the senses of taste and smell. The crisp acidity washes the palate. Food friendly and hauntingly dry. A blend of Syrah, Grenache and Riesling (!). 669 cases made. Undoubtedly one of the best Rosés from Ampelos to date. Thanks Peter and the rest of the gang. 13.6% alc. With assorted goat and cow cheeses for white wines and ham and crusty bread. Recommended.
