Probably held onto a few years too long. A little fruit still there but browning on the edges and getting that raisiny over the top edge to it. Drinkable but not something I would consider hanging onto. Do still have one more to see if any better but not counting on it. What should I expect for a NV $10 wine right?

What's not to love here? It's straightforward and fairly obvious, but absolutely no worse for it. Nose of raspberries, herb, vanilla. Round yet lively, the plummy palate is highlighted by citrus and a cocoa finish. Almost equal parts cabernet sauvignon and merlot with the balance cab franc, this is a mindlessly tasty everyday drinking wine.

3.5 Enjoyable NV Bordeaux-style blend. Vanilla strikes your nose profoundly--perhaps too strongly. Moderate fruit and alcohol make for a very pleasurable mid-week wine.

A smooth, approachable red, Barnard Griffin Cabernet-Merlot provides nuances of dried fruit and spicy vanilla to a nose of raspberry, rose petal and cherry.perhaps from having been aged in both French and American oak barrels. The medium bodied, fruit-forward palate offers vibrant notes of plum, cherry and orange which are complemented by a touch of white pepper on the finish.

(NV Barnard Griffin Cabernet Merlot Columbia Valley) Lots of sweet oak notes and a touch of spice along with powdered cocoa, and cherry on a pleasing nose. The taste is right down the fairway – smooth and even with a bit of weight and lots of fruit. A good value, especially if on sale. 13.5% alcohol. Recommended.

Picked up the common sweeter, raisin taste similar to a zin that seems to be common with Washington reds. Just an average wine.
