A nicely aged Carignan from Sardinia from the back of our cellar. Some plums left and mellowed tannins. Definitely a little to old but fine to prepare an Italian stew.

My 3/2/09 comments still hold. This is big tannic guy. It still took 90 minutes without decanting to settle down. Drank beautifully with some simple marinated skirt steak and roasted sweet potatoes with rosemary, which helped to tame the beast. This is a fun wine in the appropriate setting, meat...
