Faded fruit. Mostly iron. Acid is astringent. Hard to opine on bottle vs. wine. Have come across this a couple of other times and they were clearly oxidized/flawed bottles, which this is not, but it's also not particularly pleasant.

7/10/2021 - Tony Ling Likes this wine: 96 Points
10 hours of slow-ox upon serving into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Flower” day): Pale ruby to the eyes.
Ultra pure ruby cherry and berry fruits that is so detailed yet clean but also incredibly complex on nose. White spices and florals, tarry notes.
What a profile of a combination of acidity and minerality, fruit sets. Incredibly integrated on palate.
Wow what a wine! Solid 96 points.
Second round: very much consistent but it is such a high standard to maintain here.
