  • After tasting Marc of d'Angerville, Roulot and DRC 1986. Only one big sip of 1989 DRC (45%) is enough for tonight.

Alcohol attacts at first nose, then hints of banana scent, mixed sweet tropical fruits, flowers and getting very deep nosing, sweet kirch is dominated.

Firm structure, the sweetness and spiciness are amazing balance. Tannic but very nice.

Spicy finish, warm, smooth and tender robust, long and still. Lass details than the 1986 but very very good when not compare to others.

Can not rate it this time.

ps. For d'Angerville, a good stuff, medium but very nice, same oaky scent as DRC.
For Guy Roulot ( got it at the shop in Chassagne-Montrachet ), very classic, austere, IMO, it's not 100% new oak....nice bottle too.

  • Stunning typical nose of DRC Marc, spicy oak, wet wood, full of passion. Full-bodied, well-balanced, spicy, compact. Deep and powerful, long finished.
