My last bottle; color is a full gold/bronze in the glass. Ripe pineapple/white fruits on the slightly oxidative nose.
Full-bodied for a white; surprisingly this still shows some reasonable level of supporting acidity as well. A bitter note on the finish slightly detracts, but other than that, no real complaints here. A nice illustration of just how long the plateau of maturity can last with well-made wines - while this was undoubtedly better five years ago, it's still capable of providing pleasure & provoking interest today.

Three Dinners: Poured after the '91 and not nearly as good. Shows as slightly oxidized compared to the '91. Still rocking with great flavors, great balance and a long, satisfying finish.

Late Dec 2021: green-brownish amber color; opulent nose of apples and peaches; dull texture and high acidity on the palate.
The bouquet of this bottle was a real stunner. Unluckily the palate showed that this bottle was past his prime, on the bring of defectiveness.

Lacking acidity, no minerality, lacking depth... not a good wine
