Decanted 2 hrs. Brick red hue. Started off light & soft, but got heftier as it evolved over several hrs. Notes of tart red berries (notably strawberry, cranberry & raspberry), slate & mineral, which became more prominent as it evolved during the night along w/emerging notes of mocha, cinnamon & spice. Soft & well integrated tannins, moderate acidity, mid-weight & moderate finish. Continued to develop nicely the more it aired.

Dark and red fruits on the nose along with some mineral, forest and spice. Lots of acidity and structure that makes for a rugged, rustic impression in the mouth. Fruits move toward plum with some pronounced sourness and bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied with a medium +, but not totally pleasant finish. Probably still a bit young, but my sense is that the wine is never going to improve significantly.

The nose is well balanced, showing interesting and bright brambly red berries overlying tones of wet stone, forest floor, and clove. The palate opens with focused ripe cherries balanced by savory sundried tomato. The mid-palate represents a continuation of the focused red fruit while also adding a vein of slate minerality. The finish is long and intriguing, embodied by moderate tannins interwoven with notes of black tea, sweet strawberry, aged tobacco, and ginger spice. There is a depth and intensity to the flavors captured within a light to medium body. This is a nice value in oregon pinot that is well structured with interesting savory complexities. R&M 90

Light body with lots of acidity. Simple tart cherry flavor. Short-medium finish has a bit of astringency.
