The mouth is rich but terribly digestible and supple for its 14.7°. The juice is enormously dense but slender, with a nice underlying acidity and an integrated woodiness. The whole seduces with an ever-bright fruit on a background of vanilla and spices. The wine coats everything it touches without feeling tired with sapidity and great pleasure. The finish is like the wine, intense and with a magnificent length on the sweet spices.
It's excellent, and the pairing with a nice matured meat was relevant.

I'm not going to do a big old note on this one because it might be slightly flawed, not sure. This is the only bottle of this I have ever tasted and after 3 tastes via Coravin I come to the same conclusion that it's either too old or it has a little funk a-la-Bordeaux (esp in the nose).
It just doesn't smell, taste or finish like a typical Schrader. It's not bad, just not very inspiring. The 93 points is a little generous.
The nose has more funk than fruit, then the fruit tries to burst through on the palate only to disappear beneath the funky structure in the finish. It's a well-made wine but perhaps well past its prime. Drink it up if you have it.

Cab's Seventh of April Club dinner on 9/11/12: This was my penultimate WOTN. It had been opened and decanted for 3 hours prior to drinking. Tastes of macerated cherries. A forever finish that goes on and on and on. It coats the whole mouth (even the roof). Awesome!

No notes on this yet? Deep ruby with much of the tannin resolved. Oak is fully integrated. Classic Cabernet flavors with a chewy quality that bodes well for further aging, but I am not sure it will get better. Even the dregs were refined and polished. Very nice.
