Another gathering on the island (66 Mouton, Lascombes, Musar, and photos...) (Scott Worcester's in Southwest Harbor, ME): Showing a violet hue in the glass with medium bricking at the rim of the glass. There was an odd scent of scallops on the nose that never blew off. It was easy enough to drink...with black cassis, and dark chocolate tones along a short finish. Yet it is not getting any better...I think this is on the decline.

Tobacco dirt on the midpal. Nice but not exceptional.
Tasty wine that was absolutely at its peak in my view... I bought this so long ago for $20 bucks or so and realized this is why you cellar wine.
Currant, tobacco and bell pepper bouquet. Blackberry, licorice and tobacco on a full mid-palate. Smooth cedar finish. Very, very good.
($20) Ripe nose with good complexity. A bit like a very ripe Bordeaux. American oak on the palate makes it taste a bit Australian. $20. Good value.
