Wine was very good and i stick by my first tasting in 2010, if share makes this quality wine at this level, can't wait to try their Hillside Select. Fruit present and nice thickness to this Syrah. Fruit has not lost a step. The Cab/Syrah blend is done well by them.
Full throttle, maybe over extracted or pumped over because my wife got a headache, which has been virtually only with US cabs. A lot of well integrated fruit, dark purple wine, chewy, some oak apparent, chocolate, cherry,
New Years Eve Celebration (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark red/purple color. Had been decanted 2hr and slow-O 2 hrs. Loved the nose initially, really nice sweet creme de cassis and fresh dill, vanillin, boysenberry. The palate has a nice texture with creme de cassis, dust, and tobacco up front. It seems to drop off in the glass though and becomes more spicy and woody with austere drying tannins and some black licorice. I enjoyed this far more up front and that is what my score reflects. Probably at a point to just PNP this.
