First impression was very favorable. Ripe French melon flavors and immediately approachable. Did not improve noticeably with air. Would recommend drinking soon. Had with fresh-cooked lobster with coral-colored roe.
Deep alcohol on the nose, some funk. Massive viscosity with barrels of oak, paint, tropical fruit and vanilla extract. Little to no acid, flat on palate. How this represents true Sauvignon blanc will always be a mystery to me. Clearly a lot of time and effort put into the wine but stylistically overreaching. Drink now.
