  Good bottle from an excellent cellar. PNP so nose was slow to open up but with some air dried plums, coffee, leather and cola beans. A slightly capsicum/herbaceous overlay to the palate shows the year (good but coolish) and the style (lower abv) but this is classic right bank "claret". An old school Pomerol and on the basis of this bottle will hold for some time yet. Needs protein to show the flesh on its bones and even better on day 2.
