Hard to recall a markedly better Faiveley. Or a better Echezeux for that matter, save perhaps DRC. Immense aroma of strawberry red fruit with meaty notes. Similar across the palate albeit with an elegant richness. Extremely long finish dominated by strawberry pinot noir notes that lasted all the way from here to the convenience store to buy lottery tickets. Had this wine a few times across the years. Always good, but this is the best.

Soft, classic Burgundy nose. Palate is sweet and nicely balanced; while showing some sois bois and not being particularly huge, this is tasty. (NSG)
