  Clearly an old wine. At this point, the fruit is just a little sprinkle on the almost gossamer texture. A hint of field flowers here, a little mineral there. The brown sugar that comes with age. A little smoke. A little cherry. Fine, fine, acidity. I don’t have much experience with old Sangiovese. But this has to be a textbook example of something!
