Left to breathe in the bottle for an hour or so. This is really drinking nicely right now. Consistent with previous notes. The fruit profile may be leaning a little more towards black cherry with nice black raspberry notes. Secondary notes of chocolate, tobacco and a little spice. Moderate tannins on the 20 second finish. Very nice balance and structure to this wine. Excellent QPR.
This was an amazing QPR, especially in consideration of the Oakville 'big brother' Phelps we had alongside, I would say the latter was probably a bit better in structure, but at double the price point? I don't think so - This was dark, full bodied with a nose of sweet black fruit, plum, mocha, cedar and vanilla, nicely structure, tannic, yet softened with each sip, nicely integrated already, sweet, velvety smooth on the palate with excellent length, awesome! (91 Points).
Popped and poured and consumed over 2 nights. Similar to previous notes but seems to be coming together more and developing additional structure. This wine continues to improve and represents an excellent QPR. Once again it drank better on day 2 than on day 1. This gives the impression that it may age quite nicely. Worth buying a few of these and holding for a while.
