A sweet jam bomb. Dark, heavy, jammy, like thick raspbeerry jam. Marmelade, compote and reduction. Full bodied, heady aromas and phenols. Desert in a glass. No signs of getting tired....acidity keeping it real. Certainly tasty for when the mood strikes!

About the same as a bottle I had on July 4th. Same nose, color, flavors, and finish, but this one struck me as more elegant. Probably time to drink up.

Had alongside a 2007 Ridge Lytton and a 2009 Carlisle (Carlisle Vineyard). Tasted by four people, and declared WOTN by all four. Tart cherry pie filling. Decent structure and a bodacious finish. Seems to be at its peak.

Opened about an hour before drinking. Nice "zinny" nose, dark red fruit and bramble. Mouthfilling fruit, with hints of smoke and licorice. Not particularly viscous, but the fruit lingers on the palate and in the nasal cavities. Overall impression is richness. Holding up just fine.

Medium dry, flavors of sweet cherry, plum, wet oak. Long finish with smooth tannins.
