Deep red with purple hues, showing blackcurrant, blackberry and hints of oak on the nose. It does not have the rich Cabernet fruits that will excite me like Majella, nevertheless it is fresh with silky mouthfeel, some suppleness, sweetness and good acidity, it has flavours of red fruits, cherry, chocolaty finish and drying tannins. It grew on me after a few glass, a nice daily drinking wines.

Medium ruby. Typical cabernet nose with cedar, tobacco leaf and cassis. Mid-bodied and fresh with firm tannins and high acidity. Medium finish. Good but I would definitely go for the shiraz.

{screwcap, 14%} An oddly brickish tinge to this ruby-colourde wine. Rather chemically nose intitally, opened up to give mild currant aromas with a vanilla twist. The palate is a little dull, with softly drying tannins, a distinctly austere note to the flavours, but not a lot of depth or, more importantly, length of finish. Was expecting better; stick with the shiraz, maybe...

7 years on and again, this quaffer rewards cellaring. Vegetal and blackcurrants. A tad too old?

7 years old and drinking beautifully. Eucalyptus, chocolate and blackcurrants. This quaffer really rewards cellaring.
