  This was amazing! Clear, very dark red brown. Expressive bouquet with fruit! (black; cassis and blackberries), liquorice and earthy iron. Full bodied, same tastes on the palate as in the bouquet. Soft and dry tannin and also some pleasant sweetness. A minute long buttery aftertaste. Incredible! A 39 year old wine and so alive and complex! This will survive several decades more. No words for it. I scored it 98 and that might be too low!
