  This was the first of my '05 bottles of this producer's PS to open and the years did not treat the cork well. It did present an opportunity to decant this wine which I served at room temperature with a turkey, grilled salmon and avocado salad.
  The nose was velvety and plumy with a touch of Cinnamon; ripe currants, black cherries and spice notes on the palate; with a pleasing tannic finish.

  Impressive effort. Good acidity and loads of fruit in balance with it and the alcohol. Velvety tannins with lots of sediment on the bottle. Full of kirsch flavor.

  Very nice. Closed at first, but I gave my glass a whizz (with my portable frother/aerator) and it opened up right away. Currents and berries predominate. Oak is also present. Dry. Medium finish. Will have the rest of the bottle with lamb tonight and report further.
  
  Pretty much the same flavor with rack of lamb. Tasty. (So was the lamb. :) )

  All cedar at first pour. Definitely needs a minimum of an hour to open up but once it does it has some nice tobacco and mellow tannins. Good QPR
