M&PD Tasting: Lark (Seattle, WA, USA): Lighting in the restaurant was not great, but this was almost Rose-like in the glass. There was the faintest little fart of carbonation when opened and then totally still. At first there some clear sherry notes, not so encouraging, but the clearest smell of white chocolate I have ever sensed in a wine. This is followed with some lime and building notes of slate and salt. Some nuttiness and simply fantastic acidity. The palate is creamy and loaded with white chocolate. The most amazing thing was that this actually gained weight and improved across three hours, shedding the sherry notes and showing more intensity with time. Shocking really.

Charleston VII; 11/2/2022-11/6/2022 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): Absolutely awesome wine. A bit of a tricky cork, but we got through it. This is aged champagne at it's finest. Bubbles mostly gone but you can tell they were there. Caramel notes. Lots of brightness to the wine. Great acid still. Drinking very well.
