As I was preparing to enter this note, I saw that the previous taster had had a bottle of this tonight and found it "totally shot". Fortunately for me, my bottle was still quite vigorous and excellent. Medium yellow still retaining a hint of green. More orange zest than lemon at first, but with air, the ineffable tide pool aromas that I love in Chablis in general and Preuses in particular. Medium weight, fine feel with the slightest touch of wood underneath. More savory, complex, saline favors than fruit, excellent acidity and length with a finish that was powerful for about 15 minutes and then tailed off a bit. Short of great but really, really good and only in early maturity.
Elegant, classic middleweight Chablis. Green apple notes. Lovely mineral tones. Creaminess develops after about 45 min open. Not really grand cru level in depth or intensity in this vintage (or from this producer).
