Tasted in double-blind fashion at Vintage wines, with the bottle being provided by Rob Norberg. Medium gold and showing a promising nose of citrus, stones, vanilla and pear, it falls short on the palate due to a lack of acidity. The round middle is not saved by the medium-length, equally round finish. I was quite surprised (as were other tasters) when the identity of this wine was revealed. Drink now-12/13.
Med gold color and fresh nose for most of the evening. This MDT was a solid btl with the nice stone - lemon flavors you expect from Chablis. Maybe a little fat for chablis. Not sure this rises above a well aged AOC chablis. I agree with someone else who said Fevre is no Dauvissat. Its a couple notches down but solid chablis non the less. Fevre has been overpriced since the 05 vintage IMO. I have 4 more blts and I may start drinking them up as I detected a very faint hint of pre-mox towards the end of this blt. Paid $35, worth $ 20-25 IMO.
