Clear, medium amber color. Medium intensity on the nose; immediate quince and honeyed apricot. Touched of chamomile, hay, and sweet white flowers. Signs of general stone fruit. Medium acid, low alcohol, and medium body. Medium flavor intensity with chamomile tea, walnut, and baked pear as the dominant notes. Hints of baked apple flash throughout with lemon on the finish. Short finish.
This wine is still far from dead. Needed 30 minutes to an hour of airtime to really start showing but drank wonderfully over 5 hours

This one showed very flabby with a creamy texture, decent floral scents and some faint tropical fruit but little to no acidity. '02 was a pretty cold year in N Rhone and it shows in this bottle.

Bottle is clearly past its prime. Fruit has faded and most noteworthy qualities are on the decline. Perfectly fine with dinner but a shame I did not drink sooner.

Unfortunately, this was loosing its fruit and was definitely downhill oriented. All it had left was a big body, and oaky, vanilla like structure. Besides, it "died" very quickly after opening. Drink this, it will not last too long. Cheers!
