second bottle, very good but not quite as good as the last if I'm being picky but it was better with an hour or two of air in particular on the palate so maybe this one just had more life in it. I would buy it again....so much different than the modern day Gibourg in a good way, I like the new wines too but this is old school but very very well made and is not showing any decline

Popped, poured, consumed over two hours. Pushing the limits on tart, fresh, mouthwatering acidity, loaded with seamlessly complex tertiary goodness along with a haunting succulent finish. A beauty. 94+

Terribly young and tight. Dark in color, high in acid, this clearly needs more time or if you plan to open one, decant it for a little while. Tasted promising though in a somewhat austere and classic way. It was my 1st 1989 Burg so I can not really link any previous experience to this bottle.

Marvelous effort, room filling nose, long lasting finish.

pretty old burgundy that was just ready to go. I would have liked to see more structure but that is a quibble and it's to be expected with an 89.
