Light red, not perfect clarity. Light cherry and soil-more fragrant as it opens. Lighter body but picked up some weight with air. Dusty red fruit, herbs, and strong earth tones. Average acidity, adequate ripeness without any sweetness, modest drying tannins to resolve. Good quality, real Cote de Beaune profile, and I like the way it lingers in the mouth leaving a layer of terroir behind. To drink or hold for a few more years.
Not decanted. Medium red with taupe hues. Mature aromas and closed on the palate initially. Opened up only moderately over the course of dinner (needs food) with cranberry and mushroom notes, but drying tannins became more problematic during the second glass. Lightweight for a premier cru; needs 2-5 more years.
Pop and pour, consumed over next 2 hours. Started out absolutely closed aromatically and simple but refreshing on the palate. This did not wow me with its fruit or mid-palate weight. This wine beckoned and beguiled, inviting me to come closer and pay attention. I had other "wow" wines in glasses next to this, but as the meal progressed and it revealed its lithe, nervous charm, I found this one more apoealing and more interesting. There are some very nice things going on here.
On the nose - medium+ intensity with strawberry, mushroom and earth aromas. On the palate - refreshing acidity and some moderate tannin adding to a good texture. Not huge quantities of fruit and a hint of butter, but a style of wine I like. Finishes with a good length.
Bright garnet red with pink rim. A medium intensive nose, dominated by wet stone, earthy and floral notes, with underlying cool blue fruit. In the mouth, still grippy to velvety tannins, medium to light bodied, but with ample fruit and minerally flavours. Length a bit short as opposed to earlier tasting. In my view, this has still some way to go; I'll try another bottle in a years time.
