Didn't realize I had a regular Phelps Cab in the cellar 24 years old!! Held up exceptionally very well. Color still deep ruby red with a little browning on the edges. Aroma still deep fruit with no cork. Taste still very good tannins, smoky, but less fruit and not much finish. Great job to Joe and Craig Williams.

Popped and poured. Intense floral nose, almost too intense but if you like it, great! Tannins were smooth and well integrated. Stayed at this level for 4 hours. Drank side by side with a 99 Kirwan, liked both. Drinking very well now, not sure if more cellaring will improve. Cork broke when opening, had to extract carefully.

Nice cork. Decanted for 5 hours. Never opened up; rough and disjointed. Past its prime.
