better than my bottle five years ago, this had an even balance of fruit and funky secondary flavor on the palate, could have been partly wood driven but there wasn't any "protrusion" of wood... I think this will drink nicely over the next 5-10 years with some funk/spice/fruit combo in the med-toward-dark-fruit range

Delicately complex nose that was pretty captivating. Came off as a bit tight or maybe even lacking some fruit. Nicely clean acidity. The nose had me though. I kept revisiting.

Popped and poured. Surprisingly dark and tongue-staining red color for Pinot. Nose was earthy and forest floor-like; reminiscent of a lighter year, aged Bordeaux. Mouthfeel was silky smooth, with flavors of sour cherry. Tasted very tart at first, but tartness declined with air/time. Overall, this was an enjoyable wine, but it lacks varietal character. If tasted blind, I might guess that this was a Brunello of roughly the same age. 90 points.

Nothing makes me happier than the fact that Dujac is now farming the same exact area because it's a shame how bad this malconsort is. Just really dry under ripe tannins overwhelm the palate on this wine. There's hint of fruit but the finish was so bitter , on the positive side the awful finish was short.

10 year retrospective tasting at Conrad's (Conrad Green): Low nose, light cherry; quite simple, tart; drying tannins. This was my least favorite of the flight. 89-90
