Dark ruby with pink rim and orange tint. Took 2 hours to open up. A combination of red Rhone and claret notes. Blackcurrant, dark cherry, red berries, elderflowers, green asparagus, leather, tobacco and cedar. Bold fruits and intense palate with an astringent finish. This bottle was too young to drink. Probably better in a few years time.

Among the very best wines I've had. Ruby colored with a full body. Rich creamy aroma of vanilla and berries. Complex with layers and a silky texture. Beautiful mouthfeel with fine tannins - hit the sides of the top of the palate. The finish is long with dark fruit and olives. Perfectly drinkable with great structure. The taste is a bit more distinctive than the 2003 I've had earlier. Wonderful wine that can hold its own for many years to come. This was also from a special bottle that was kept at the domain since the bottling and released in 2020.

A bit of bottle variation in this ( or maybe its our mood) but definitely this tiem was a lot better than 3 months ago where we had this at the same place. Definitely decanting helps. Well mannered given a 2007, good rich fruit but in check and in harmony with the rest of the wine. For sure not as good as the 2013 we have tried recently ( Papies 93) but this is definitely a pretty wine and a very dependable one too. 91

Didn't take a note on the spot, but this was awesome. Showing more Syrah character than Cabernet, but the 2007 has always been that way. It was still quite fruity (cherry, blackcurrant, a little jammy) and had lots of beautiful earthy/herbal nuance too. Full-bodied without being heavy, super long, really left the palate drenched and searching.
