  OK – clean mid to dark ruby appearance; fruit and some oakiness on nose; off-dry; mid to high acidity; mid tannins; mid to full body; mid length finish; strong flavours of red fruits – red currant; cherries; some ribena like flavours; very fruity; some vanilla / oak; pleasant rather then good. Had with cheese burgers; Decanted though a vinturi – drank straight away.

  I popped the cork on this on Friday, had a small glass, and thought it to be a little vegetal and thin. Recorked and left on the counter and tried again Monday. It gained substantial weight and actually showed almost fruit-bomby characteristics. The flavors are simple, and there is some noticeable oak, but this is an enjoyable cheapy that is a very good value at $9. Give this one some air!

  Nose is pretty sharp initially and then mellows to a show some signs of fruit (weak cherry?), but even after some air you can smell the alcohol. Color is a nice deep red with ruby edges. Leggy for a inexpensive wine, seems like it belongs on canvas. Not very fruit forward on the first couple of sips (RP would hate this wine), and it starts out heavy on the tannins. Hints of fruit, and a bit of vannilla on the finish. Nice wine for the $9 price point.
