I LOVE Chamisal but the 2010 isn't nearly as good as their last few vintages. Extraction is no where close to what it's been in earlier vintages. Still a fine wine to drink but a little too soft for me and lacking the expression I look for in Central Coast Pinots.

Color: Light ruby/garnet bordering on brick. Moderately opaque. Nose: Vanilla-caramel, orange blossom, cola and maple syrup. A bit of hay in there. Taste: Lively and delicate. Strawberry and cola sweetness mingles with raspberry and currant; at times there's even some ripe heirloom tomato in there. Then bittersweet chocolate and pepper spice. Finally, the vanilla and confectionary sweetness re-emerges in the finish. Overall a thoughtful and well-integrated California Pinot (the 14.5% ABV barely registers), and, while certainly overripe at points, there's enough savory influence to keep things interesting.

Intense aromaer med en silkeblød, intens og elegant smag, placerer denne Pinot Noir blandt de bedste i Californien.

Nice wine. Only had one bottle. Glad I drank it. Well made, but I do not believe it will go much longer. Drink and enjoy.
