Blood red. Sweet nose full of red fruits. A floral sweetness. Well integrated and delicate tannins complement the silky mouthfeel. Cherries, raspberries, and a hint of tarragon behind the fruit. Drinking beautifully.
Opened and poured immediately with no decant time. None needed really. Immediate cherry cola aroma. Nice long viscous legs. Lighter color and flavor, as is the norm for the 2011 vintage relative to 2010 or 2012. Very smooth and silky. Great tannin balance. Perhaps lighter than I would ideally prefer, but certainly nice. I would rate 89 to 90.
