Surprisingly lively still. Strong into tertiary notes, but some remaining acidity keeps things drinkable. Storage on this bottle was questionable, but past peak.

Light floral and citrus on the nose. Beautiful in the glass. Delightfully dry, as expected, slightly orange tartness; wonderful, long-lasting bubbles, chiles the mouth and the senses.

This 17 year old sparkler demonstrates how the premium wines made by Champagne houses in California using the same methods as Champagne, feature not only a fruitiness and richness combined with French brightness and acidity, but age as magnificently well as Champagnes. The taste defies the chronological age. Very lively aromas of yeast, pear, red raspberry, flowers, and citrus with a superb release of tingly bubbles in the mouth. Utterly refreshing and palette cleansing. Zero signs of oxidation. Repeatedly the best wine with food after food on the table, tasted side by side with white Burgundies, Nebbiolos, and Pinot Noirs.

Light gold. PNP drank several glasses over 90 minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Nose has wonderful toasted aromas, yeast, dough, pear, hazelnut. The palate is energetic, toasty, yeast, nutty, pear, lifted, and has a long finish. I only wish I had a few more of these. Drinking great and in no danger of fading.

From cellar. Wonderful rich layered brioche with no noticeable reduction in flavor given the age
